The Parkland Matadors basketball team (El Paso, TX), was overwhelmed 58-37 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Hanks Knights (El Paso, TX)

The Knights now possess a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ysleta for a 5A Region I District 2 battle on Tuesday, February 7. Hanks will confront a Indians team coming off a 38-29 league loss to Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Indians record now stands at 15-13.

The Matadors (4-28) will now prepare for their battle against Horizon (El Paso, TX). The Scorpions come into the 5A Region I District 2 battle with a 8-21 record. In their last battle, Horizon was overwhelmed by Bel Air (El Paso, TX), 60-20, in a league battle.
