In Friday's non-league outing, the Newington Nor'easters (Newington, CT) basketball squad nipped the visiting Southington Blue Knights (Southington, CT), by a margin of 43-40.

The Nor'easters (13-3) will now prepare for their outing against Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT). The Terriers go into the Central Connecticut - North Colonial outing with a 10-5 record. In their last outing, Rocky Hill got by Whitney RVT (Hamden, CT), 54-6, in a non-league outing.

The Blue Knights now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Glastonbury for a Central Connecticut - West Patriot outing on Monday, February 6.
