Glastonbury Guardians (Glastonbury, CT) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Southington Blue Knights (Southington, CT), 45-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Glastonbury upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Guardians travel to Avon (Avon, CT) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 4-0. Avon won 52-39 in their recent non-league bout against Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT)

Next up, the Blue Knights play the Stamford Black Knights (Stamford, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Southington will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Black Knights come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 64-59 league win over Norwalk (Norwalk, CT).
