The West Springfield Spartans basketball team scored 39 points and held the host South County Stallions to 35 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Potomac for a District 4 contest on Tuesday, February 7. West Springfield will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 69-27 league win over Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 14-6.

The Stallions (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Fairfax (Fairfax, VA). The Lions enter the District 4 contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Fairfax was nudged by Robinson (Fairfax, VA), 53-22, in a league contest.
