Virginia High School Basketball - Gate City overwhelms John Battle
February 3, 2023: Gate City, VA 24251 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) and the visiting John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA), saw Gate City's basketball squad wallop John Battle by a tally of 37-12.
With the victory, Gate City improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Lee (Jonesville, VA) to play the Generals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Generals come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Lee won 52-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Abingdon (Abingdon, VA)
Next up, the Trojans play the Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. John Battle will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 52-22 non-league loss to Lee (Jonesville, VA).
