New York High School Basketball - Warwick holds off Cornwall Central
February 3, 2023: New Windsor, NY 12553 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Warwick Wildcats (Warwick, NY) and the host Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY), saw Warwick's basketball squad hold off Cornwall Central by a tally of 52-49.
With the victory, Warwick improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY) to confront the Goldbacks in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 6. The Goldbacks come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Newburgh Free Academy lost 70-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Kingston (Kingston, NY)
Next up, the Dragons confront the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. Cornwall Central will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 41-17 non-league loss to Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY).
