Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Avonworth overwhelms Beaver Falls
February 3, 2024: Beaver Falls, PA 15010 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) and the host Beaver Falls Tigers (Beaver Falls, PA), saw Avonworth's basketball squad wallop Beaver Falls by a tally of 73-41.
With the victory, Avonworth improves its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Antelopes travel to East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA) to confront the Wild Cats in a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge on Monday, February 5. The Wild Cats come into the challenge with a record of 0-17. East Allegheny lost 78-11 in their recent league challenge against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 1 challenge, on Monday, February 5. Beaver Falls will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Wolverine come into the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 56-50 league loss to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA).
