Ohio High School Basketball - Northwest nips Firestone
February 3, 2024: Akron, OH 44313 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Northwest Indians (Canal Fulton, OH) and the host Firestone Falcons (Akron, OH), saw Northwest's basketball squad hold off Firestone by a tally of 55-52.
With the victory, Northwest improves its record to 4-13 on the campaign. The Indians host Orrville (Orrville, OH) to play the Red Riders in a Principals challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Red Riders come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Orrville lost 60-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwestern (West Salem, OH)
Next up, the Falcons play the GlenOak Golden Eagles (Canton, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 7. Firestone will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 49-48 league loss to Lake (Uniontown, OH).
