February 3, 2025: Lafayette, LA 70501 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) and the host Northside Vikings (Lafayette, LA), observed Carencro's basketball team overcome Northside by a score of 46-37.
The Bears (14-21) will now prepare for their challenge against New Iberia (New Iberia, LA). The Yellowjackets come into the 5A District 3 challenge with a 15-13 record. In their last challenge, New Iberia dropped by Acadiana (Lafayette, LA), 33-31, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA) in a 4A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Northside will attempt to improve on its 23-9 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 15-24 record after their 54-39 league win over North Vermilion (Maurice, LA).
