Maine High School Basketball - Bucksport nudges George Stevens Academy
February 3, 2025: Bucksport, ME 04416 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) and the visiting George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME), observed Bucksport's basketball team edge George Stevens Academy by a score of 40-39.
The Golden Bucks (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (East Corinth, ME). The Red Devils come into the C North challenge with a 11-5 record. In their last challenge, Central was tipped by Hermon (Hermon, ME), 51-34, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) in a C North challenge, on Thursday, February 6. George Stevens Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Lynx come into the challenge with a 15-2 record after their 46-36 league loss to Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME).
