Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Clairton crushes Mapletown
February 3, 2025: Clairton, PA 15025 The Clairton Bears (Clairton, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA), 74-24 in Monday's league bout.
The Bears now possess a 15-4 record. They play next when they travel to Monessen for a WPIAL 1A 2 bout on Thursday, February 6. Clairton will play a Greyhounds team coming off a 65-39 league loss to Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 4-12.
With the loss, Mapletown falls to 2-16 on the campaign. The Maples host Bishop Canevin (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Crusaders in a WPIAL 1A 2 bout on Thursday, February 6. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Bishop Canevin lost 43-41 in their recent league bout against West Greene (Waynesburg, PA)
