Arkansas High School Basketball - Gosnell toppled by Pocahontas
February 3, 2025: Pocahontas, AR 72455 Pocahontas Redskins (Pocahontas, AR) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Gosnell Pirates (Gosnell, AR), 52-43 in a league match.
With the victory, Pocahontas upgrades its record to 7-15 on the year. The Redskins travel to Blytheville (Blytheville, AR) to face the Chickasaws in a 4A Region 3 match on Thursday, February 6. The Chickasaws enter the match with a record of 14-7. Blytheville won 61-57 in their recent league match against Highland (Hardy, AR)
The Pirates now sport a 4-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brookland for a 4A Region 3 match on Thursday, February 6. Gosnell will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 59-33 league loss to Westside (Jonesboro, AR). The Bearcats record now stands at 19-7.
