Maryland High School Basketball - Poly can't hold off McDonogh
February 3, 2025: Owings Mills, MD 21117 McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Poly Engineers (Baltimore, MD), 56-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, McDonogh upgrades its record to 13-10 on the year. The Eagles host St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD) to face the Panthers in a IAAM A match on Wednesday, February 5. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 19-4. St. Frances Academy won 57-46 in their recent league match against McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD)
The Engineers now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to City College for a Baltimore City match on Thursday, February 6. Poly will face a Black Knights squad coming off a 47-40 non-league win over Loch Raven (Towson, MD). The Black Knights record now stands at 6-9.
