February 3, 2025: Pine Prairie, LA 70576 Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA), 40-35 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Port Barre upgrades its record to 9-10 on the year. The Red Devils host Avoyelles (Moreauville, LA) to face the Mustangs in a 2A District 5 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 7-15. Avoyelles lost 47-42 in their recent league match against Holy Savior Menard (Alexandria, LA)
The Panthers now sport a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwest for a 3A District 4 match on Tuesday, February 4.
