Maryland High School Basketball - DeMatha bested by Paul VI

February 3, 2026: Hyattsville, MD 20781

The DeMatha Stags basketball team (Hyattsville, MD), was topped 67-50 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA)

The Panthers (21-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Mustangs come into the Washington Catholic contest with a 8-15 record.

In their next game, the Stags battle the Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA AA contest, on Thursday, February 5. DeMatha will attempt to better on its 17-6 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 18-8 record after their 76-64 league win over Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD).
