St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) backers went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team overcome the visiting Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA), 58-43 in a league contest.

The Cougars (14-8) will now prepare for their contest against Comeaux (Lafayette, LA). The Spartans come into the 4A District 4 contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Comeaux lost by Northside (Lafayette, LA), 50-45, in a league match.
