Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bonita Vista Barons (Chula Vista, CA), 56-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Otay Ranch upgrades its record to 15-9 on the season. The Mustangs host Montgomery (San Diego, CA) to play the Aztecs in a Mesa bout on Monday, February 7. The Aztecs go into the bout with a record of 19-6. Montgomery won 56-51 in their recent non-league bout against Helix (La Mesa, CA)

Next up, the Barons play the San Ysidro Cougars (San Diego, CA) in a Mesa bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Bonita Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 18-7 record after their 101-54 league win over Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA).
