Virginia High School Basketball - Broadway nips Harrisonburg
February 4, 2022: Harrisonburg, VA 22801 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) and the host Harrisonburg Blue Streaks (Harrisonburg, VA), saw Broadway's basketball squad hold off Harrisonburg by a tally of 58-54.
With the victory, Broadway improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Gobblers host Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA) to play the Knights in a Valley challenge on Monday, February 7. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Turner Ashby won 74-35 in their recent league challenge against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA)
Next up, the Blue Streaks play the Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA) in a Valley challenge, on Monday, February 7. Harrisonburg will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Trailblazers come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 92-40 league win over Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA).
