Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Eastern Guilford Wildcats (Gibsonville, NC) and the visiting Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC), saw Eastern Guilford's basketball squad hold off Southern Guilford by a tally of 40-39.

With the victory, Eastern Guilford improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC) to confront the Cougars in a 3A Conference 46 challenge on Saturday, February 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 14-3.
