Hay Springs Hawks (Hay Springs, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bennett County Warriors (Martin, SD), 79-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hay Springs upgrades its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Minatare (Minatare, NE) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 1-15. Minatare lost 75-35 in their recent non-league bout against Cody-Kilgore (Cody, NE)

Next up, the Warriors play the Todd County Falcons (Mission, SD) in a A Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Bennett County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 59-49 non-league loss to Mobridge-Pollock (Mobridge, SD).
