New York High School Basketball - Cornwall Central holds off Roosevelt
February 4, 2023: New Windsor, NY 12553 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) and the visiting Roosevelt Presidents (Hyde Park, NY), saw Cornwall Central's basketball squad hold off Roosevelt by a tally of 46-41.
With the victory, Cornwall Central improves its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Monticello (Monticello, NY) to confront the Panthers in a Section 9 Orange County III challenge on Monday, February 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Monticello won 65-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty (Liberty, NY)
Next up, the Presidents confront the Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors (Poughkeepsie, NY) in a Section 9 Mid Hudson I challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Roosevelt will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 89-41 non-league win over Saugerties (Saugerties, NY).
