New Mexico High School Basketball - Penasco overwhelms Mora
February 4, 2023: Mora, NM 87732 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM) and the host Mora Rangers/Rangerettes (Mora, NM), saw Penasco's basketball squad wallop Mora by a tally of 51-24.
With the victory, Penasco improves its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to McCurdy (Espanola, NM) to confront the Bobcats in a 2A District 5 challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-19. McCurdy lost 50-7 in their recent league challenge against Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM)
Next up, the Rangers/Rangerettes confront the Questa Wildcats (Questa, NM) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Mora will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 42-38 league loss to Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM).
