Illinois High School Basketball - Peoria overwhelms Urbana
February 4, 2023: Urbana, IL 61801 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL) and the host Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL), saw Peoria's basketball squad wallop Urbana by a count of 81-24.
With the victory, Peoria upgrades its record to 22-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Bloomington (Bloomington, IL) to play the Purple Raiders in a Big Twelve challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Purple Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 5-20. Bloomington lost 42-34 in their recent league challenge against Normal West (Normal, IL)
Next up, the Tigers play the Springfield Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. Urbana will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 10-16 record after their 48-33 league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL).
