Louisiana High School Basketball - Catholic of Pointe Coupee nips St. Edmund
February 4, 2025: New Roads, LA 70760 In Tuesday's league contest, the host Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets basketball team scored a close 43-36 triumph over the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays.
The Hornets (10-15) will now prepare for their contest against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA). The Trojans go into the 1A District 5 contest with a 8-14 record. In their last contest, Sacred Heart was tipped by North Central (Lebeau, LA), 49-46, in a league match.
The Fighting Blue Jays now sport a 16-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Central for a 1A District 5 match on Wednesday, February 5. St. Edmund will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 49-46 league win over Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 11-19.
