February 4, 2025: Pleasant Hill, OH 45359 The Covington Buccs (Covington, OH) basketball edged the host Newton Local Indians (Pleasant Hill, OH), 40-37 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Buccs now possess a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Riverside for a Three Rivers bout on Friday, February 7. Covington will play a Pirates team coming off a 44-42 league win over Miami East (Casstown, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 5-14.
With the loss, Newton Local falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to National Trail (New Paris, OH) to play the Blazers in a Western Ohio bout on Friday, February 7. The Blazers go into the bout with a record of 7-10. National Trail won 49-46 in their recent non-league bout against Miami Valley (Dayton, OH)
