Wisconsin High School Basketball - Wausau East knocks off Lakeland
February 4, 2025: Wausau, WI 54403 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Wausau East Lumberjacks (Wausau, WI) and the visiting Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI), observed Wausau East's basketball team overcome Lakeland by a margin of 82-71.
The Lumberjacks (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (Wisconsin Rapids, WI). The Red Raiders come into the Wisconsin Valley challenge with a 0-15 record. In their last challenge, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln dropped by Wausau West (Wausau, WI), 58-29, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds battle the Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI) in a Great Northern challenge, on Friday, February 7. Lakeland will attempt to better on its 7-11 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 56-38 league loss to Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI).
