Next, the Mountaineers encounter the East Newton Patriots (Granby, MO) in a Big 8 test, on Friday, February 7. Mt. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 10-5 record after their 46-44 league win over Monett (Monett, MO).
The Mustangs (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Lamar (Lamar, MO). The Tigers come into the Big 8 test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Lamar was routed by Aurora (Aurora, MO), 88-74, in a league test.
