Vermont High School Basketball - Bellows Free Academy holds off Essex
February 4, 2025: Essex Junction, VT 05452 The Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets basketball team scored 39 points and limited the host Essex Hornets to 32 in the Bobwhites/Comets league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bobwhites/Comets now have a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to South Burlington for a non-league game on Friday, February 7. Bellows Free Academy will confront a Wolves team coming off a 54-35 non-league loss to Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT). The Wolves record now stands at 2-11.
With the loss, Essex falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Hornets host Burlington (Burlington, VT) to confront the Seahorses in a Metro game on Friday, February 7. The Seahorses go into the game with a record of 11-4. Burlington won 56-35 in their recent league game against Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT)
