In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Cannon Cougars basketball team scored a big 77-37 win over the Covenant Day Lions.

The Cougars (22-7) will now prepare for their contest against Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Knights come into the NCISAA Charlotte Independent contest with a 2-17 record. In their last contest, Charlotte Christian was trounced by Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC), 66-18, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers (Charlotte, NC) in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent contest, on Friday, February 7. Covenant Day will attempt to better on its 14-11 season record. The Buccaneers come into the contest with a 18-10 record after their 56-45 league loss to Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC).
