South Dakota High School Basketball - Douglas can't hold off Custer
February 4, 2025: Box Elder, SD 57719 Custer Wildcats (Custer, SD) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Douglas Patriots (Box Elder, SD), 40-35 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Custer upgrades its record to 4-10 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Hot Springs (Hot Springs, SD) to face the Bison in a A Region 8 match on Thursday, February 6. The Bison enter the match with a record of 2-11. Hot Springs lost 39-21 in their recent non-league match against New Underwood (New Underwood, SD)
The Patriots now sport a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hill City for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Douglas will face a Rangers squad coming off a 50-26 non-league win over Chadron (Chadron, NE). The Rangers record now stands at 7-10.
