The Southern Valley Eagles were victorious over the host Hitchcock County Falcons basketball squad by a final score of 50-39 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Alma Cardinals (Alma, NE) in a D1 District 9 outing, on Friday, February 7. Southern Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 15-4 season record. The Cardinals enter the outing with a 16-4 record after their 47-27 league win over Arapahoe (Arapahoe, NE).

The Falcons (8-10) will now prepare for their outing against Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE). The Wolves enter the non-league outing with a 19-3 record. In their last outing, Maywood/Hayes Center ran past Hershey (Hershey, NE), 73-50, in a non-league outing.
