Nebraska High School Basketball - Alma holds off Southern Valley

February 7, 2025: Oxford, NE 68967

The Alma Cardinals basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Southern Valley Eagles to 33 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now have a 17-4 record. They play next when they host Phillipsburg for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. Alma will confront a Panthers team coming off a 54-43 non-league win over Beloit (Beloit, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Southern Valley falls to 15-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to South Loup (Arnold, NE) to confront the in a non-league game on Saturday, February 8. The go into the game with a record of 2-15. South Loup won 27-24 in their recent non-league game against Sandhills Valley (Stapleton, NE)
