Maine High School Basketball - Pine Tree Academy sneaks past Islesboro Central
February 4, 2025: Islesboro, ME 04848 The Pine Tree Academy Breakers (Freeport, ME) basketball edged the host Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME), 40-36 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Breakers now possess a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to Wiscasset for a D South bout on Wednesday, February 5. Pine Tree Academy will play a Wolverines team coming off a 46-7 non-league loss to Buckfield (Buckfield, ME). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-16.
With the loss, Islesboro Central falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Valley (Bingham, ME) to play the Cavaliers in a D South bout on Thursday, February 6. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 16-0. Valley won 70-23 in their recent league bout against Pine Tree Academy (Freeport, ME)
