February 4, 2025: Lincoln, ME 04457 Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME), 46-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Penobscot Valley advances its record to 18-0 on the year. The Howlers travel to Dexter (Dexter, ME) to face the Tigers in a C North match on Thursday, February 6. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 13-4. Dexter won 40-16 in their recent league match against Orono (Orono, ME)
The Lynx now own a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George Stevens Academy for a C North match on Thursday, February 6. Mattanawcook will face a Eagles squad coming off a 40-39 league loss to Bucksport (Bucksport, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 10-7.
