Vermont High School Basketball - Mt. Abraham thwarts Missisquoi Valley
February 4, 2025: Swanton, VT 05488 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mt. Abraham Eagles (Bristol, VT) and the host Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds (Swanton, VT), observed Mt. Abraham's basketball team knock off Missisquoi Valley by a score of 48-38.
The Eagles (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rutland (Rutland, VT). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Rutland prevailed over Mount Anthony (Bennington, VT), 51-30, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds encounter the Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT) in a Lake challenge, on Friday, February 7. Missisquoi Valley will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Commodores come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 58-44 league loss to Milton (Milton, VT).
