February 4, 2025: Ville Platte, LA 70586 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) and the visiting North Central Hurricanes (Lebeau, LA), observed Sacred Heart's basketball team overwhelm North Central by a margin of 61-39.
The Trojans (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA). The Hornets come into the 1A District 5 challenge with a 16-10 record. In their last challenge, Catholic of Pointe Coupee was trounced by St. Edmund (Eunice, LA), 54-23, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hurricanes battle the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) in a 1A District 5 challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. North Central will attempt to better on its 11-16 season record. The Fighting Blue Jays come into the challenge with a 19-3 record after their 54-23 league win over Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA).
