February 7, 2025: Opelousas, LA 70570 The North Central Hurricanes basketball squad (Lebeau, LA), lost 64-48 in Friday's league battle with the host Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA)
With the victory, Westminster Academy advances its record to 9-8 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA) to meet the Trojans in a 1A District 5 battle on Monday, February 10. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 9-9. Sacred Heart won 69-39 in their recent league battle against Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA)
The Hurricanes now own a 11-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to JS Clark Leadership Academy for a Freelance battle on Tuesday, February 11. North Central will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 54-37 league win over St. Edmund (Eunice, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 24-9.
