Michigan High School Basketball - Taylor can't hold off Richard
February 4, 2025: Taylor, MI 48180 Richard Pioneers (Riverview, MI) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Taylor Griffins (Taylor, MI), 35-30 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Richard advances its record to 4-12 on the year. The Pioneers host Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI) to face the Cranes in a Catholic Intersectional I match on Friday, February 7. The Cranes enter the match with a record of 3-10. Cranbrook Kingswood lost 45-28 in their recent league match against University Liggett (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI)
The Griffins now own a 2-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trenton for a Downriver match on Thursday, February 6. Taylor will face a Trojans squad coming off a 33-28 league loss to Anderson (Southgate, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 2-11.
