Iowa High School Basketball - South Winneshiek can't hold off Turkey Valley
February 4, 2025: Calmar, IA 52132 Turkey Valley Trojans (Jackson Junction, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host South Winneshiek Warriors (Calmar, IA), 39-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Turkey Valley upgrades its record to 14-5 on the year. The Trojans host West Central (Maynard, IA) to face the Blue Devils in a Upper Iowa match on Friday, February 7. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 3-13. West Central lost 67-13 in their recent league match against MFL MarMac (Monona, IA)
The Warriors now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central for a Upper Iowa match on Friday, February 7. South Winneshiek will face a Warriors squad coming off a 50-32 non-league loss to Waukon (Waukon, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-12.
