February 4, 2025: Damascus, VA 24236 Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA), 41-28 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Northwood advances its record to 5-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to Honaker (Honaker, VA) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, February 7. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 8-1. Honaker won 42-30 in their recent non-league match against Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA)
The Cavaliers now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chilhowie for a non-league match on Friday, February 7. Holston will face a Warriors squad coming off a 32-17 non-league win over Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 11-4.
