New Jersey High School Basketball - Academy Charter thwarts Lakewood
February 5, 2024: Lake Como, NJ 07719 The Academy Charter (Lake Como, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ), 63-51 in Monday's non-league test.
The (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Newark Vocational (Newark, NJ). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 6-15 record. In their last test, Newark Vocational notched a victory over Bard (New York, NY), 53-41, in a non-league test.
The Piners now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they travel to Long Branch for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Lakewood will battle a Green Wave team coming off a 69-44 non-league loss to Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ). The Green Wave record now stands at 1-18.
