New Jersey High School Basketball - Belleville tops Verona
February 5, 2024: Belleville, NJ 07109 Belleville Buccaneers (Belleville, NJ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ), 55-45 in a league bout.
With the victory, Belleville upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Montclair (Montclair, NJ) to play the Mounties in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Mounties come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Montclair won 69-67 in their recent non-league bout against Paramus Catholic (Paramus, NJ)
Next up, the Hillbillies play the Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Verona will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record.
