West Virginia High School Basketball - Charleston Catholic can't hold off Bluefield
February 5, 2024: Bluefield, WV 24701 The Bluefield Beavers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Charleston Catholic Irish to 48 in the Beavers non-league victory on Monday.
The Beavers now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shady Spring for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Bluefield will battle a Tigers team coming off a 63-53 non-league loss to Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 11-4.
The Irish (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cross Lanes Christian (Charleston, WV). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Cross Lanes Christian was nudged by Calvary Baptist Academy (Hurricane, WV), 60-57, in a league contest.
