New Mexico High School Basketball - Jemez Valley overwhelms Tierra Encantada
February 5, 2024: Santa Fe, NM 87507 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Jemez Valley Warriors (Jemez Pueblo, NM) and the host Tierra Encantada (Santa Fe, NM), saw Jemez Valley's basketball squad wallop Tierra Encantada by a tally of 51-15.
With the victory, Jemez Valley improves its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to New Mexico School for the Deaf (Santa Fe, NM) to confront the Roadrunners in a A District 7 challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Roadrunners come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. New Mexico School for the Deaf lost 71-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Oklahoma School for the Deaf (Sulphur, OK)
Next up, the confront the Academy for Technology and The Classics (Santa Fe, NM) in a 2A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Tierra Encantada will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The come into the challenge with a 17-2 record after their 73-24 league win over Native American Community Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
