Maryland High School Basketball - North East holds off Elkton
February 5, 2024: Elkton, MD 21921 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the North East Indians (North East, MD) and the host Elkton Golden Elks (Elkton, MD), saw North East's basketball squad hold off Elkton by a tally of 40-34.
With the victory, North East improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Indians host Kent County (Worton, MD) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 4-13. Kent County lost 49-38 in their recent league challenge against Colonel Richardson (Federalsburg, MD)
Next up, the Golden Elks confront the Harford Tech Cobras (Bel Air, MD) in a Upper Chesapeake Bay - Chesapeake challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Elkton will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Cobras come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 57-44 league loss to Fallston (Fallston, MD).
