New York High School Basketball - Genesee Valley nips Warsaw
February 5, 2024: Warsaw, NY 14569 Genesee Valley Jaguars (Belmont, NY) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Warsaw Tigers (Warsaw, NY), 40-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Genesee Valley upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Andover (Andover, NY) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 3-14. Andover lost 38-27 in their recent non-league bout against Jasper-Troupsburg (Jasper, NY)
Next up, the Tigers play the Le Roy Oatkan Knights (Le Roy, NY) in a Section 5 Livingston 2 bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Warsaw will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Oatkan Knights come into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 48-27 non-league win over Rochester Prep (Rochester, NY).
