Michigan High School Basketball - Menominee thwarts Gillett
February 5, 2024: Menominee, MI 49858 The Menominee Maroons (Menominee, MI) basketball knocked off the visiting Gillett Tigers (Gillett, WI), 42-33 in Monday's non-league test.
The Maroons (6-9) will now prepare for their test against Marquette (Marquette, MI). The Redmen go into the Great Northern U.P. test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Marquette notched a victory over Houghton (Houghton, MI), 48-41, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they host Coleman for a Marinette & Oconto test on Thursday, February 8. Gillett will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 44-34 non-league loss to Wabeno/Laona (Wabeno, WI). The Cougars record now stands at 15-5.
