February 5, 2024: Gloucester, VA 23061 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA) and the visiting Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), saw Gloucester's basketball squad overcome Mathews by a tally of 45-25.
With the victory, Gloucester improves its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Dukes host Phoebus (Hampton, VA) to confront the Phantoms in a Peninsula challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Phantoms come into the challenge with a record of 12-7. Phoebus won 61-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Churchland (Portsmouth, VA)
Next up, the Blue Devils confront the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA) in a Tidewater challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Mathews will attempt to improve on its 5-17 season record. The Royal Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 62-23 non-league loss to Essex (Tappahannock, VA).
