Illinois High School Basketball - Johnsburg nips Grayslake North
February 5, 2024: Grayslake, IL 60030 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Johnsburg Skyhawks (Johnsburg, IL) and the host Grayslake North Knights (Grayslake, IL), saw Johnsburg's basketball squad hold off Grayslake North by a count of 49-42.
With the victory, Johnsburg upgrades its record to 14-11 on the campaign. The Skyhawks travel to Harvard (Harvard, IL) to play the Hornets in a Kishwaukee River challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 6-22. Harvard won 43-37 in their recent non-league challenge against North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL)
Next up, the Knights play the North Chicago Warhawks (North Chicago, IL) in a Northern Lake County challenge, on Wednesday, February 7. Grayslake North will attempt to upgrade on its 7-22 season record. The Warhawks come into the challenge with a 0-19 record after their 58-27 league loss to Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL).
