Louisiana High School Basketball - Pearl River overwhelms Mt. Hermon
February 5, 2024: Pearl River, LA 70452 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA) and the visiting Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets (Mt. Hermon, LA), saw Pearl River's basketball squad wallop Mt. Hermon by a tally of 62-37.
With the victory, Pearl River improves its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Rebels host Franklinton (Franklinton, LA) to play the Demons in a 4A District 8 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Demons come into the challenge with a record of 7-13. Franklinton lost 37-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Varnado (Angie, LA)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Christ Episcopal School Wildcats (Covington, LA) in a B District 7 challenge, on Wednesday, February 7. Mt. Hermon will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 39-7 league loss to Maurepas (Maurepas, LA).
